Citadella Budapest: Back & Better Than Ever

I've guided hundreds of visitors up Gellért Hill over the years — but after the Citadella reopened in spring 2026, I made the climb again as a visitor. After years of construction fences and "coming soon," Budapest's most iconic hilltop fortress is finally back. And it was absolutely worth the wait.
