Frequently Asked Questions

How many people will be on the tour?

Just you and your group — that's it. All of my tours are completely private. You won't be sharing the experience with strangers or joining a larger group. Everything is tailored exclusively to you and your travel companions.

Is the price per person?

Pricing is per group, not per person. This means whether you're traveling as a couple, a family, or a small group, you pay one rate — not a separate fee for each person. Entry fees to attractions and landmarks are calculated separately per guest. Get in touch and I'll put together a quote based on your group size and preferences.

What happens if it rains?

Tours run rain or shine. Budapest is beautiful in every season — spring and autumn bring mild temperatures and occasional showers, so a light raincoat or umbrella is always a good idea. Summers are warm and sunny, perfect for walking. Winters can be chilly but genuinely magical, especially around Christmas. Whatever the weather, I'll make the most of your time here.

Where do we meet?

If your accommodation is close to the tour area, I'll meet you right at your hotel or apartment door. If you're staying a bit further out, I'll suggest a convenient central meeting point nearby. Either way, I'll confirm all the details with you before the tour.

What should we wear?

Comfortable shoes are the most important thing — we'll be walking, so leave the heels at the hotel. For clothing, dress for the season: light layers in spring and autumn, light clothing and sunscreen in summer, and a warm coat in winter. I'll always send you practical tips before your tour so you know exactly what to expect.

Are the tours customizable?

Absolutely. Every tour I offer can be adapted to your interests — history, food, architecture, hidden gems, photography spots, or a mix of everything. Just let me know what you're hoping to get out of the experience and I'll build something around you.

How long do the tours last?

It depends on the experience. Budapest walking tours typically run between 2 and 4 hours. Full-day tours and countryside day trips range from 6 to 10 hours. Multi-day itineraries are also available — just ask.

Is transportation included?

Walking tours don't include transportation by default, but I can arrange private vehicles, airport transfers, and countryside transport for an additional fee. Just mention it when you get in touch and I'll include it in your quote.

Is Budapest safe for tourists?

Budapest is generally a very safe city for tourists. Like any major European capital, it's wise to be mindful of your belongings in crowded areas. On a private tour with me, you'll always have a local by your side who knows the city inside out.

Can you arrange tours for special occasions?

Absolutely! I've guided proposals, anniversary trips, family reunions, and corporate groups. Just let me know the occasion when you get in touch and I'll make it extra special.
