Cancellation & Refund Policy
At Kata Budapest, we strive to offer a flexible and transparent cancellation policy while ensuring fair treatment for both our guests and guides. Please review the following terms carefully before confirming your booking.
Booking & Payment Terms
To confirm your private tour, 100% of the payment is required at the time of booking. This secures your date, itinerary, and guide.
All cancellation or rescheduling requests must be submitted in writing to:

Cancellation Deadlines & Refund Policy
Cancellations made more than 15 days before the tour date:
A 20% cancellation fee will be retained, and the remaining 80% will be refunded.Cancellations made 14 days or fewer before the tour date:
Unfortunately, no refund will be issued at this point, as the time and services have already been committed.No-shows (clients who fail to attend the tour):
No refund will be provided.
Refund Method & Processing
Refunds will be issued to the original payment method (usually credit card) unless otherwise agreed.
Please note: Any transaction fees or bank commissions related to the refund process will be covered by the client.
Exceptional Circumstances & Force Majeure
Cancellations due to force majeure (such as medical emergencies, natural disasters, or travel restrictions) will be reviewed individually. We aim to reach a fair and mutually acceptable resolution whenever possible.
Weather Policy
All tours operate rain or shine, and bad weather is not considered valid grounds for cancellation. However, in the case of extreme weather, political unrest, strikes, or any event that could jeopardize your safety or significantly alter the tour, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the experience.
Cancellations by Kata Budapest
In the rare event that we must cancel a tour due to unforeseen circumstances (illness, emergencies, etc.), we will first attempt to reschedule the tour at a mutually convenient time. If no alternative can be agreed upon, a full refund will be issued within 15 working days.
Travel Disruptions
We strongly recommend that guests purchase travel insurance to cover unexpected delays or cancellations of flights, trains, or buses.
